Hello! My name is Jackson. I began building models when I was 16, but the serious work started 5 years later when I began volunteering at a local, large collection of military vehicles. Volunteering there opened my eyes to the more historical side of the hobby, and from then onwards, I began approaching each build as a research project in its own right- studying primary sources, period photographs, and technical manuals before the kit even leaves the box.
My focus is typically armor subjects, from WWI through the Cold War- with a preference towards US Subjects.
My background in engineering further expanded my hobby- with the advent of 3D printers, my CAD experience from school, and access to the real 1:1 scale subjects, I began to design my own STL detail parts and accessories for my own builds, which I share to the rest of the modelling community through my Cults3D Storefront.
This website is my attempt at providing a more robust way of finding my various STILs, as well as a place to publish my research on specific historical subjects I find interesting. Everything here is made by a singular, young college student with no particular agenda except getting it right.
